At first many don't believe it is true. In  Åland we have two new swimming halls just a 10 minutes drive from each other; Mariebad in Mariehamn and Ålands Idrottscenter in Godby.

The swimming hall in Godby has a 25-meter competition pool with eight 2,5 meter wide lanes, timing system, possibility for video filming under water, grand stand which seats for 350 people and conference facilities.

Mariebad, situated by the sea near Hotell Arkipelag in Österhamn, also has a 25-meter competition pool with 8 two meter wide lanes, Omega timing system, grand stand for 200
persons, conference room and also a recreational pool with a 55 meter long water slide and a special spa & relax department.

The short distance between the halls guarantees that really large swimming groups can practice and compete in Åland at the same time. If one hall is not enough, you can split up and practice in both.

For groups that want to travel to Åland to practice in Mariehamn or in Godby, we now offer price worthy travel packages. We book and customise each arrangement according to your
requests, but to show how a complete package could be designed, we have put together the package offer below.

Training camp package incl. voyage Turku-Mariehamn-Turku, four 2-hour training rounds
at Mariebad, two night accommodations at Hotell Pommern, all meals and all necessary
transfers in Åland.

Day 1 (any day in 2009 - choose any date for your trip).

08.45 Voyage, Turku-Mariehamn with Viking Line's m/s Amorella.
